i never understood the "Top" sort. you visit it once and it never really changes, so there's no point in coming back. This is the inspiration for [[top new]]...
it's the most upvalued posts you haven't seen. once you've scrolled by a post, it disappears from the Top New feed until the next time someone upvalues it.
the cool thing about this is that when on this feed, the treechat community's attention will be coordinated in a single place ranked by upvalue, rather than following or recency, so when we upvalue we guide attention for all future treechatters who will traverse down this feed.
